Abstract

Reviews this impressively designed, large collection of maps, facts, and stories, and how the book powerfully demonstrates that islands around the world are changing due to the forces of climate change and sea level rise. Argues for a move beyond moral outrage and foreboding, towards broader social and political connections across both island and non-island communities around a critique of the impoverished aspiration of resilience.
